A recent incident during a Jacky Cheung concert in Dongguan where he asked the audience whether to stop (or consider stopping) the concert because he was having trouble singing.
What happened:
Date & place: The show was part of his Jacky Cheung 60+ Tour, in Dongguan, China, on August 31, 2025.
During the concert, Jacky experienced multiple voice breaks and noticeably struggled to control his vocals.
He paused and said (in Cantonese), “I really wanted to sing, but I can’t.” He expressed that he felt unfair to the band, dancers, and the audience if he couldn’t deliver a performance he was satisfied with.
He asked the audience, “Should I continue singing?” and also suggested that if he really couldn’t go on, the audience could ask for their tickets refunded.

在歌迷的支持下，张学友坚持完成了下半场的演出，虽中间多次破音，但依然敬业地唱完。
张学友的工作团队其后也澄清：
这场演唱会事件让不少粉丝感动，也引发讨论：“一个在舞台上拼了40年的歌手，即使身体出现状况，仍旧不想让观众失望。”
